The Principal of Kings Medical College serves as the chief executive officer and academic leader of the institution. The Principal is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and academic excellence of the college, ensuring it fulfills its mission of producing competent and ethical healthcare professionals.

Biography

Mr. Anthony Wahome is a seasoned trainer and administrator. His career as a trainer begun right after completion of his studies mostly being charged with administrative duties as Head of Department. Having practiced for over 10 years, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has a background in Medical laboratory Sciences and Health Systems Management. He is also trained with the Keya Technical Teachers Training College as trainer, a certified lead auditor amongst other certifications. He will be leading a vibrant team of lecturers and other staff members in ensuring the sustenance and growth of the college towards meeting the needs of the community.

  • Promote student success by ensuring a conducive learning environment, effective support systems, and inclusive policies.
  • Staff Development:
  • Support the recruitment, training, and development of academic and administrative staff for optimal performance.
  • Partnerships and Collaboration:
  • Foster partnerships with regulatory bodies, healthcare institutions, industry stakeholders, and government agencies to enhance training and employment opportunities for graduates.
  • Governance and Compliance:
  • Uphold institutional policies and ensure compliance with the Ministry of Education, TVET Authority, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Promote the college’s role in community development through outreach, health campaigns, and social responsibility initiatives.
